Nat Habit Releases First Sustainability Impact Report; Eliminates 48 Tonnes of Plastic Through rPET & Zero-Waste Packaging

India, December 3, 2025: Nat Habit, one of India’s fastest-growing Ayurvedic beauty and wellness brands, has released its inaugural Sustainability Impact Report, marking a major milestone in its journey toward responsible and scalable clean beauty. The report captures key sustainability interventions implemented across the last 24 months as the brand continues to grow while minimizing its environmental footprint.

Guided by the belief that “clean beauty isn’t clean unless it’s also responsible,” Nat Habit has adopted a holistic sustainability model rooted in reducing plastic use, enhancing material circularity, and ensuring zero operational pollution across its manufacturing processes.

Nat Habit’s Core Sustainability Pillars

1. Packaging Innovation

  • Complete elimination of plastic bubble wrap, replaced with paper-based protective packaging.

  • Transition to recycled PET (rPET) bottles for high-volume categories—including shampoos and hair oils—making these product lines fully packaged in rPET.

2. Circular Economy Integration

  • Strengthening material circularity with a shift from virgin PET to recycled PET across multiple formats.

  • Strategic expansion of circular packaging practices to reduce long-term environmental impact.

3. Zero-Pollution Manufacturing

Zero Water Pollution

  • Achieved through 100% natural, biodegradable ingredients and small-batch, water-efficient production ensuring no chemical effluents or toxins.

Zero Air Pollution

  • Maintained through cold-processed, kitchen-style manufacturing that avoids combustion and minimizes emissions entirely.

Key Insights from Nat Habit’s 2025 Sustainability Impact Report

  • 115 tonnes of total plastic used annually across all packaging formats.

  • 66 tonnes of PET materials used, with 48 tonnes of virgin plastic saved through rPET adoption.

  • 72% of PET bottles now produced using recycled PET.

  • 35 tonnes of plastic bubble wrap eliminated by switching to paper-based packaging.

  • 41% of total plastic used in packaging is now recycled, demonstrating strong progress toward circularity.

  • 100% cold-processed manufacturing with zero combustion and zero air emissions.

  • 100% natural, biodegradable ingredients ensuring zero water contamination.

  • Small-batch, water-efficient production reducing resource waste by over 50%.

A Vision for Responsible, Scalable Clean Beauty

Speaking about the report, Swagatika Das, CEO & Co-Founder of Nat Habit, said:
“The long-term value of sustainability goes far beyond numbers. It builds trust, loyalty, and resilience into the business. Our goal is to create a beauty ecosystem where every Nat Habit ritual gives more than it takes. This report is proof that we can scale responsibly and raise the bar for what clean beauty truly means.”

With over 40 lakh customers and a projected revenue run rate nearing ₹250 crore, Nat Habit continues to demonstrate that sustainability and scale can grow together.

Future Sustainability Initiatives

Nat Habit plans to expand its sustainability roadmap with:

  • Increased usage of recycled materials across all packaging formats.

  • Compostable alternatives for sachets, pouches, and labels.

  • Wider adoption of paper-based and biodegradable shipping solutions.

  • Developing end-of-life solutions to build a closed-loop circular system.

A New Identity Rooted in Planet-Positive Beauty

This milestone follows the launch of Nat Habit’s renewed brand identity, “Breathe Life,” an evolution from Fresh Ayurveda. The philosophy emphasises beauty that is potent, nurturing, and planet-positive—integrating Ayurvedic rituals, scientific innovation, and sustainable packaging practices.
