Actor Rachit Singh is gearing up for his highly anticipated role as Siddhu in the upcoming film Baby Do Die Do. Ahead of the movie’s July 3 release, the versatile actor opened up about his on-set experience, particularly praising director Nachiket Samant for his calm, composed, and highly effective filmmaking style.
Here is a closer look at how the director’s unique approach helped Rachit deliver an organic and grounded performance.
Creating an Organic Vibe on Set
Film sets can often be chaotic, but Rachit revealed that Nachiket’s relaxed demeanor completely transformed the creative environment. By maintaining a stress-free zone, the director allowed the cast to stay fully immersed and present in their performances.
Sharing his experience, Rachit said, “Working with Nachi was actually very relaxed because he is very chill and calm. No matter what is happening on set, he does not panic, and that energy really helps you as an actor to stay grounded and be present in the moment.”
According to Rachit, Nachiket’s direction relies on precision rather than over-explanation. “He talks very less, but he gives you a word or a few pointers that really help you understand the scene, increase its stakes, and understand the character better,” the actor explained.
Rather than demanding heavy, rigid preparation, the director prefers spontaneity. “For him, it is not about too much preparation; it is about being in the moment, listening, taking directions, and letting the scene happen naturally,” Rachit added.
A Brand New Avatar: Meet Siddhu
In Baby Do Die Do, fans will see Rachit step into the shoes of Siddhu, a passionate musician and music teacher. Siddhu is characterized by his inherent goodness and unwavering loyalty to the people he loves.
This role marks a massive transition for the actor, showcasing a softer and more heartfelt side of his craft. It is a complete departure from his previous work, most notably his intense and dark portrayal of Viren in the hit series Thamma.
