KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations have officially announced that Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups will no longer release on June 4, 2026, as previously scheduled. The much-anticipated film’s release has now been postponed, with a new worldwide theatrical date set to be revealed soon.
The strategic shift comes after Toxic made a powerful impression at CinemaCon, where the film garnered an overwhelmingly positive response from international distributors and key industry players. The enthusiastic reception has opened doors for a much larger global rollout, encouraging the makers to revisit their release plans and position the film for an expanded worldwide audience.
With the film already complete, the team is now prioritizing international distribution deals and strategic global partnerships to ensure Toxic reaches audiences on the grand scale envisioned by its creators. Written by Yash and Geetu Mohandas, and directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film is being positioned as a landmark cinematic event.
Yash on the Global Shift for Toxic
Sharing his thoughts, Yash said:
“There are films we make, and then there are films that remind us why we fell in love with cinema. Toxic has been one such journey. Presenting our film at CinemaCon and witnessing the overwhelming global response reaffirmed what we have always believed—that this film deserves to reach its fullest potential worldwide.”
He further added that while the June 4 release date has been withdrawn, the move is designed to maximize the film’s international impact.
“Toxic is complete, and we are currently aligning global distribution and partnerships. In light of this, we have decided to recalibrate our release timeline. While we will not be releasing on June 4 as announced earlier, we will be releasing at a later, globally aligned date.”
Yash also emphasized the larger significance of the moment for Indian cinema:
“At a time when Indian cinema is finding its voice and stepping onto the global stage with such promise, each of us has a responsibility to raise the bar. As an actor and producer, I see this moment as an opportunity to do my part—for the Indian film industry and for all of us—by taking the time to ensure our film reaches the world with the impact it is meant to have.”
A Major Pan-Global Indian Film in the Making
Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups features a star-studded cast including Yash, Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth, and Tara Sutaria.
Shot in both Kannada and English, the film is also set for dubbed releases in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam—further strengthening its international and pan-Indian appeal.
Backed by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, Toxic is now gearing up for a larger, globally synchronized theatrical debut, with the new release date expected to be announced soon.
For fans, the wait may be longer—but the promise is clear: Toxic aims to be more than just a film; it aspires to be a proud global milestone for Indian cinema.
